Accessibility
Effective date: August 12, 2026
We want this website to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate with a keyboard, or need larger text. This page is an honest account of where we are.
What we have done
- The page is built with meaningful HTML structure, so a screen reader can move through it by heading and by section.
- Every image has alternative text describing what it shows.
- There is a "skip to content" link at the top of each page.
- Buttons and links show a visible outline when focused with the keyboard.
- All animations are switched off automatically if your device is set to reduce motion.
- The layout adapts to small screens and to enlarged text.
- Phone numbers and the email address are also shown as plain text, so they can be read and copied without opening another application.
Where we are aiming
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. We are partially conformant: most of the site meets that standard, but some parts do not yet, and we would rather say so than claim otherwise.
What we know still needs work
- The before-and-after slider on the home page can only be moved by dragging. It cannot yet be operated with a keyboard. Both photographs are visible on the page regardless, so no information is lost.
- The service-area cards, which show a city on the map when clicked, cannot yet be reached or activated with the keyboard. The same list of cities appears as plain text elsewhere on the page.
- The contact windows that open on desktop do not yet move keyboard focus into themselves. They can be closed with the Escape key.
- The contrast of our yellow on white has not been formally audited, and may fall short for small text.
These are on our list and we intend to fix them.
